Greetings!
Long time no hear from me but things are starting to stir along the vintage base ball waters. Dan Crocker (The Hallowell Red Jackets) and I have emailed a few times. We will be meeting sometime in March or April to discuss our plans for the upcoming season. I will keep you posted on the date, time and location so anyone who wishes to join can do so. If you are really interested in attending this meeting and know there is a specific day you can not attend then please let me know and we will work around it. Most likely the meeting will be in the Augusta / Hallowell area and probably be on a Saturday or Sunday.
The tentative schedule for the season is to play 6 to 8 games and hopefully play for the honor of the "Kennebec Cup" at the end of the season. I have emailed Dale Duff about us playing in Bangor again and emailed Brian Sheehy about us playing in a Round Robin tournament on April 27th in Danvers. We have also been invited to play games at Kents Hill School and for the Bridgton Historical Society.
On another note, it's also that time of year again when it's time to collect dues for the year. I foresee the following expenses for the upcoming year: Insurance, 6 to 8 new balls and possibly 1 new bat. I'm also hoping to purchase a Dirigo shirt and shield so we can have an extra one at games for people who may want to fall in with us. I see no reason to raise our dues, so checks of $25.00 can be made out to:
The Dirigo Vintage Base Ball Club and mail to me:

If you have any questions or concerns (or new ideas) before the meeting or season please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks again for all you support.
Sincerely,
Mark "Limelight" Rohman
